Thaiddhi is a filmmaker and cinematographer who began his career in documentary filmmaking in 2006. He studied three years in Cinema and Digital Media Master Program at FAMU in the Czech Republic. In 2011, he co-founded the Wathann Film Festival, Myanmar’s first film festival and a key platform for independent cinema. In 2013, he co-founded Third Floor Film Production with Thu Thu Shein to support emerging filmmakers and connect Myanmar cinema with the international scene. He is the producer and cinematographer of Cobalt Blue (2019, 27’), which premiered at the Locarno International Film Festival, and Evening Cloud (2022, 18’), which premiered at the Singapore International Film Festival. He also produced and directed a segment of “Ten Years Myanmar” (omnibus, 2023, 104’), premiered at Busan International Film Festival 2023.
